Lima Beans and Barley with A Savory Vegetable Medley and Seasonings

Preparation & Usage

Cooking directions Sort and Rinse Beans Prior to Cooking. Dried Beans Are a Raw Agricultural Product and May Contain Foreign Material. Bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Add the contents of the large bag to the boiling water. Cover tightly and simmer over a low heat for 2 hours or until tender, stirring occasionally. Add contenets of small spice packet during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Season to taste. Makes 6 one-cup servings. For a heartier meal, try adding chicken, meat* or vegetables. *note: if chicken or meat is added, soup is not parve.
