Colorful and fun, this simple recipe takes everybody’s favorite gooey, sweet, marshmallow treat and molds it into festive egg shapes for Easter. Use McCormick® Assorted and NEON Food Color and Egg Dye to decorate crispy treats with the Easter egg color combos below – or create your own!

Ingredients
1 package (16 ounces) mini marshmallows (10 cups), divided
10 cups crispy rice cereal (such as Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies®) , divided
2 1/2 tsp McCormick® All Natural Pure Vanilla Extract, divided
McCormick® Assorted Food Colors & Egg Dye
McCormick® Neon Food Colors & Egg Dye
10 tbs unsalted butter, divided
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Directions

For each color of egg-shaped crispy treats, mix 2 cups marshmallows and 2 tablespoons butter in small saucepan on medium heat.

 

Heat, stirring constantly, until completely melted; remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and Food Color combo shown below to achieve desired color.

 

Color Combos:

  • Pink = 4 drops NEON pink
  • Orange = 2 drops Assorted red + 2 drops Assorted yellow
  • Green = 5 drops NEON green
  • Blue = 5 drops NEON blue
  • Purple = 5 drops NEON pink + 2 drops NEON blue

 

Spray 1/4 cup measuring cup and clean hands with no stick cooking spray. Working quickly, scoop 1/4 cup of cereal mixture into hands and mold into egg shapes. Place crispy treat eggs on parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining ingredients to create all 5 colored eggs.

 

Melt white chocolate as directed on package. Cool slightly. Spoon into piping bag and use to draw stripes and zig-zags onto eggs for decoration.
